11th Lyran Guards

Sporting Lyran Pride parade colors.  After a brutal civil war, the LAAF high command has ordered all units participating in sanctioned events while representing the Lyran Alliance, will show parade colors to display pride in Lyran heritage and history.  The 11th, still recovering from the civil war has sent a unit comprised of the top surviving guns in the regiment.  This force also displays some of the new toys in the Lyran arsenal and the new more mobile force structure that is the rage with current operations planners in the LAAF.

Painters Notes:
I know some will say that the Lyran Guards parade scheme is old and tired but this is my 1st attempt at doing it.  Also it was my 1st try at assembling the spindly legged Marauder, good CA and patience is required for that.  A small note, if you want to use Krylon triple thick glaze to go back over your cockpit glazing after you dullcoat the mini, don't spray it into a plastic Dixie cup......all off a sudden I was holding the top of the cup but the bottom had melted away was sitting on my shoe, along with the liquid all over the place.  Folkart paints were used throughout along with some Golden and Tamiya acrylics.  Krylon primer and sealer were also used.  Testers provided the Dullcoat.  Fighting Piranha Graphics decals used exclusively.  The custom bases were made with Sculpy covered in field grass.
